Books I Want To Read — Spring 2019
I’ll keep this short!
There are lots of good stuff on the way (or here already) this spring, and it’s looking to be a pretty good season for books. Sure there are lots of titles out there, but these are the 5 that I’ll be adding to my book list!
The Five
It’s Trevor Noah: Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
The Daily Show host’s memoir, Born a Crime, has been adapted for young readers. Since it’s a softer, less “colourful” version of the first, it should be an astounding and inspiring memoir for young readers looking to improve their own lives.
The Mister by E.L. James
Fifty Shades Trilogy author, E L James, is back with another passionate romance; set in London this time. Fans of the James’ books are in for a new, steamy story.
The Dragonfly Sea by Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor
I confess, the cover is what caught my eye but I stayed for the description. This is the coming-of-age story of a young woman who embarks on a journey from the small island of Pate, off the Kenyan coast to the Far East.
The First Lady by James Patterson & Brendan Dubois
There’s a frantic search for the missing First Lady in James Patterson’s new thriller. What’s worse, the news is telling of the president’s alleged affair?! Huh! One secret may bring down the government when the president’s tryst becomes the nightmare we all wish we could forget
Crushing: God turns Pressure into Power by T.D. Jakes
Again, Bishop Jakes is back with encouraging words of how God uses difficult experiences to prepare us for unexpected blessings ahead.
With all these good stuff on the way (or here already), spring reading is looking pretty good.
I’ll let you know how they turn out. Do any of these interest you? Let me know in the comments!
Love, Igho.
