Omonigho L. Eferere
Bio
Omonigho “igho” Eferere is a managing medical editor and content creator. Her work is inspired by the belief that we can create our own lives, and that we should all experience the privilege of sharing and celebrating our creativity with one another.
Igho was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and currently resides in the New York Metropolitan Area. Her educational background includes a BPharm in Pharmaceutical Sciences and MPH from the CUNY School of Public Health; both of which have contributed to everything that she gets to do now. She spent the first couple of years of her professional life in the healthcare industry as a pharmacist, and then as a college professor, while sewing her own clothes in her spare time.
In 2018, Igho & Me – formerly Love, Igho – was created with an initial focus on DIY, fashion & styling. However, it has since evolved into a place for curating hand-made wardrobe and home/interiors projects and inspiration. Igho is a self-taught sewist and sees DIY’ing as a way to connect, learn new skills, and create unique and personal pieces.
While Igho’s goal is to motivate and inspire her audience to shut out the noise, and live a more intentional lifestyle, her other goal is to show that a great life can be lived in spite of fear and self-doubt – especially in this age of information overload. These are her own struggles, and she hopes that by sharing her triumphs & trials, she can encourage others to take small but bold steps too. Through her content, Igho hopes to encourage her audience to live a life that they are satisfied with, with no regrets.
In her free time, Igho is usually singing and dancing (in private), reading, learning a new hobby, watching a lot of TV, walking, and overthinking.
