Thoughts:

February was hard 😕.

We’re in the middle of a pandemic. I’m still unemployed and not feeling inspired. I’m hard on myself.

I’ll try again in March!

Words that I read over and over again

You are so IMPORTANT.
You are the love of someone’s life
You are that cherished child
You are the neighbor who steps in and means the world to a complete stranger
You are the kind word to someone who needs it like air
You don’t see it yet.
But you ARE.
— Lin Manuel Miranda

Since we’ve been on lock down. I’ve needed a lot of escapism which for me means lots and lots of movies and books. I’ve compiled a list of what I thoroughly enjoyed and that I think are worth your time.

New Movies

1917 - WWI. Two young soldiers trek across dangerous terrain on a single day. It’s slow paced and an amazing film

The Photograph - I liked it - enough to watch it again! I think I thought I would love it! Hmm…I’m conflicted.

The Invisible Man - creepy and amazing.

The Gentlemen - Guy Ritchie always does it for me. I saw this 3 times.

Emma - An Austen retelling. Sign me up 10 times! 10/10 no notes!

Just Mercy - a tale of justice and redemption that is unfortunately the story of too many.

Bad Boys for Life - our favorite Miami detectives are back and they delivered.

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You - Lara Jean and Peter are the sweetest. Freaking adorable!

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) - I’m glad we got this movie. Harley Quinn deserved better than the first Suicide squad. Loved it!

Rewatch List

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) - I watched this for the second time to see if it was really as good as I thought it was the first time. It was better. A truly excellent movie and Frances McDormand is a truly fantastic actor.

In Bruges - this is a criminally underrated movie imo

The Big Lebowski - I will never not rewatch TBL. It is art.

Reading List

Turtles All the Way Down - You should read this! I was not prepared for how wrenching this was. My fault for picking up a John Green book unprepared. No matter where you are on the spiral—and we’re all somewhere—John’s novel makes the journey, good or bad, a less solitary experience.

I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be outside.

Outfit details: Top & skirt by me

We’re collectively in the midst of multiple shitstorms, but I hope you and yours are safe.

Please remember to take care of yourself!
