One Year Blog Anniversary
It’s our first anniversary today 💃🏾🍾🎉🎉. One year ago feels sooo long ago, even though the past 12 months flew by. ( @rx_juls can you believe it!) But so much has happened in just one year! This time last year, I couldn’t see my life getting better. I was stuck, felt stuck, and had believed that I was going to remain in my stuckness (not a word😅). There aren’t enough words to say how grateful I am to GOD for pulling me out of what I think was despair - it literally makes me speechless. Credit anyone or anything that YOU believe in for your success, but He (Jesus) is the only one I know to be thankful to. And I am...thankful.✨
.
I’ve met some pretty amazing people - not all in person 😄. I’m a lot less self conscious and I’m learning a lot. But I’m not just grateful for the chance to learn: I’m more grateful that I’m put in a position where I’m almost forced to unlearn habits and thought patterns I never would’ve caught otherwise. .
So, here’s some of what I’ve learned:
1. People aren’t staring at or judging you as much as you think. They’re probably too preoccupied with their own stuff. So, stop trying to prove yourself to people who are trying to prove themselves to someone else.
2. MOST people want you to WIN and are very supportive. Focus on them and focus on your work. Everybody else either do not care or do not matter 🤷🏾♀️
3. People’s opinion of you is less a reflection of you and more reflective of what they see in themselves.
4. Scared people breed fear-driven advice
5. The best things won’t always be easy, or the most complimented, or the most understood/acceptable. You’ll have to trust and live free enough to stay YOUR course.
6. Be gentle with yourself (#notetoself literally EVERYDAY)
.
So, live for you. Live for God and live for love.

Happy one year bloggaversary to @love_igho Thanks for making my first year of blogging an amazing one. I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store & I’m ready to receive my blessings. ✨✨✨🙌🏾

Big hugs and love to you all ❤️
