Guys, I went thrifting for the very first time and I got this beautiful green oversized blazer. It was super fun! So, thrifting is when you visit different thrift/second-hand shops, and vintage clothing stores in the hopes of buying several items of cheap and unusual clothing and other items.

Ordinarily, shopping for long periods of time isn’t my favorite thing to do. I usually go in knowing what I’m looking for. I get it and get out. But thrifting was honestly fun. There were so many good things to find (without breaking the bank too!!!). I didn’t go crazy on the purchases though, because a girl’s on a strict budget 😉 and the experience is really what I was there for.

So I got two things and I love them so I’ll definitely be doing it again. The catch though is that I can’t link any vintage pieces that I feature here, but I’ll try to find and link affordable alternatives that I think you guys will like!

Oversized Blazer

One of the items I picked up was this green oversized blazer. If you’ve noticed the trends, it seems like the 1980’s style is back; where it’s the bigger the better. It’s not shocking; after all, fashion is a cycled industry. I personally always admired those oversized silhouettes, the 80’s cuts, and big tops and trousers so I thought I'd try it out. In today’s post, I’m featuring the oversized blazer in a simple outfit.

I played it safe on the rest of the outfit, going all black. This was my first deliberately “oversized-anything” outfit. Next time, I think I’ll pair it with a short dress or dressy shorts. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
