How to Wear Matching Sets

Last years fall fashion came with many trends and styles to try; from animal prints, gloss fabrics to tweed. While I tried a few, the one that I have definitely committed to is matching sets. When it comes to getting dressed, most of us can’t deny our love for easy outfits. Anything that I can throw on without giving it much thought/time or sacrificing style gets a bonus point in my book, especially if I’m running late! Can you relate?

Whether you’re going for the casual, sexy or working girl feel, with this style, there’s a look for everyone to try. So, here’s why you should get on board with matching sets:

Efficient – Ithink everyone can get on board with any lewkthat gets head turns but requires minimum effort and expense (if you do itright!). Plus it’s both cool and sophisticated. Add a couple of accessories andyou’re good to go.

Literal 2 for infinity deal – it goes without saying that what you’re really getting is multiple outfits in one. There are endless ways to play with the matching separates for any occasion, and the pieces can be worn individually and as mix and match (I’ll talk more on this next week).

Diverse options – A matching set is not what one might initially think, a “pantsuit.” It can also be a blazer and shorts, a skirt (mini or midi), culottes; a vest or duster and matching bottoms, and more.

How to

Wear it alone: You can wear it by itself like I did, no complications! Add a touch of femininity to the look in the form of accessories and a camisole and that’s it.
Dress it down: For a casual look, style your suit with a plain or graphic tee and a pair of sneakers or mules (I’m still learning to be a sneaker girl).
Dress it up: with high heels, a belt bag, a contrasting waist belt to break up the look, or a lacy bra instead of a top for a sexy “date night” look
Official: After all, suits were originally designed as work wear. Go in Working Girl vibes by layering your suit with a classic collared shirt or a turtleneck.
